3 best upcoming features in Minecraft 1.18 snapshots

Minecraft Snapshot 1.18

Minecraft is one of the most successful games in history. It has sold more than 100 million copies, making it one of the best-selling video game in history.

Although Minecraft was originally released in 2011, it continues to find new ways to keep players interested. The latest update adds a series of caves and cliffs that players can explore while playing single-player or multiplayer modes.

The Minecraft Caves & Cliffs update was very large, so the developers split it into two parts. The first part was already released, and the second part will come out later this year. Before releasing the update, new features will be tested to make sure they work properly.

The developers of Minecraft have been testing the latest versions of the game by releasing development versions called snapshots. These snapshots can be downloaded from the launcher and can be installed on recent version of Minecraft, so players should report any glitches or anomalies they find.

Below are the upcoming features that are to Minecraft 1.18 snapshots

1. Warden

Warden in Minecraft

The Warden is a unique mob that lives in the caves and appears to be blind. It detects players through a block on its head, which also seems to have a sensor-like quality. This block makes it able to sense player vibrations from walking or by placing blocks.

The Warden is a boss mob. It has a large amount of health and deals a lot of damage, but it does not drop anything when killed. The Warden also makes frequent use of all three stages of its life cycle, unlike the Ender Dragon which uses only its last stage.

2. Sculk blocks

Sculk blocks minecraft

Sculks are mysterious blocks that spawn in the deep dark cave biome. Multiple types of sculks will be available, and only one has been showcased by Mojang so far. It is the redstone block known as the sculk sensor, which can detect vibrations around it and emit redstone signals through wireless redstone. Sculks will forever alter contraptions as wireless redstone will now become possible.

3. Deep dark cave biome

Biome cave Minecraft

Three new cave biomes were planned for Minecraft’s Caves & Cliffs update. However, the deep dark cave biome has not yet been added to the snapshots or beta versions. This will be one of the deepest cave biomes where no mob can spawn except for the Warden.

Conclusion

At the recent Minecraft Live, Mojang revealed a few features that were not added in the development cycle. The company is planning to add these features in the coming weeks through snapshots.

Things can be a bit different in the final release as these are our opinions about this new release.
